Create OVF from VMWARE Fusion

I am trying to create an OVF from from Windows VM. It seems as if the export to OVF has been removed from Fusion 8.5.  This version does come with ovftool that can be run from the command line. All of the examples in the help guide reference a vmx file, but all I can seem to find to complete bundle.

How does one create an OVF from a VMware bundle ??

thanks

The vmx file is located inside the bundle.

We did not remove the 'export to OVF' button. It's in the File menu between 'Import' and 'Migrate your PC'.

As for the .vmx, RDPetruska is right. In Fusion the VM contents are in a 'bundle' which is just a folder with a .vmwarevm extension.

You can right-click > show package contents, and it's just like a Workstation VM on Windows or Linux.

I am using VM Fusion 8.5.7. There is no "export" button between Import and MigrateYourPC. Could this be some form of install issue ?

On a better note, I was able to create the ovf etc by digging into the bundle.

It's a Pro-only feature, so perhaps you have a Fusion 'standard' license?
