How to install Update Manager in vCenter Server Appliance?

I installed vCenter Server as an appliance. But I do not see Update manager installed. How can I update the appliance with Update Manager?

Update manager is not on the .ISO files that I used to install the appliance. I do see that it is on the .ISO for the windows bundle.

Will someone please point me to documentation that I need to download the update manager?

.

Thank you,

Joseph

Update Manager is included in vCSA 6.5. For earlier versions, it's still required to install Update Manager separately on a WIndows server.

Hi vegasjoe, assuming you are using version 6.5 of the VCSA then update manager is already installed by default and you just need to start the service. From the web client go to System Configuration > Services > VMware Update Manager and Start.

the "update manager" tab seems only to be available in the flash client, not html5 (yet)
