Hi All, hoping someone can shed some light. I have just installed the new vCloud Usage Meter 3.5 and completed the Migration. Upon checking my list of vCenter Server Products being Managed, I saw only 2 and not the 10+ I had on my 3.4 instance. I have been trying to add the vCenter Servers back in, but what I am seeing is only one version of a vCenter Server being listed. I add a 5.0.0 and it replaces my previous host. I add a 5.5.0 and it replaces the previous 5.0.0 host. If I add a 6.0.0 it replaces my previous 6.0.0 host. Any ideas as to why it wont let me register more than 1 host of a version 5.x.x and 6.x.x.
If I click the Show Inactive checkbox it does not list my previous hosts.
Thanks in advance
Here's a couple of screenshots to illustrate. I have 1 vCenter Server version 5.5.0 listed and Metered. I add another vCenter Server 5.5.0 and it replaces the one that is already there!!
Before:
After:
Clicking the "Show Inactive" checkbox does not reveal the previous 172.16.51.18 entry either. It just simply replaces the previous one.

Is the VC's are configured with standalone embedded SSO or linked mode?
Hi Vinayag - Apologies but can you elaborate on your question please. I don't understand what you are requesting?
Hi there,
Would it be possible for you to upload the database dump of your 3.4 usage meter through support? We'd like to take a look at it and try to figure out why it's not migrating correctly for you.
Thanks,
--Chris
You can join multiple vCenter Server systems using vCenter Linked Mode to allow them to share information. When a server is connected to other vCenter Server systems using Linked Mode, you can connect to that vCenter Server system and view and manage the inventories of the linked vCenter Server systems.
Hi Chris, just exporting the database now and will figure out how to upload to support. Any hints welcome.
Hi Vinayag - Thanks for the feedback. As I didn't have to join servers before I am inclined not to perform this step as I am focusing on trying to achieve a like for like on 3.5 with the same vCenter configuration. I will be uploading my db to support as per Chri's request to see if there's a clue in there.
Hi Chris - I dumped the old 3.4 database and shared it with you specifically in the first instance.
Thank you. We'll take a look.
Vinayaga's question is How is your vCenter set up?
1. Is the vCenter SSO configured ?
2. Do you by any chance have vCenters in linked mode?
Hi,
I'm having the exact same problem, did you ever get any solution to this problem ?
I can successfully add four vCenter but when I add vCenter server #5 it replaces vCenter server #4, if I add vCenter #4 again,it will replace
vCenter server #5....
The two vCenter Servers that I fail to have added both at the same time are both very similar but they are located at two different sites.
