Did this issue only start occurring recently and if so, after what changes did this start occurring?
Check the error states of the NICs using this command via SSH to hosts:
#esxcli network nic stats get
There may be specific error counts that tell you whether the problem is on the switch or the NIC.
Check the drivers & firmware in use on these devices, if they are not compatible driver & firmware pair then change accordingly:
