Require "Description" be filled out on requests? Also question on hostname + prefix

Hi all - because "Description" on a VM request fills in the "notes" section with in vCenter, is there a way to make it required?  I need it for figuring out what the heck our developers are using these servers for as they come and go.

Additionally, I have a custom property on my blueprint setup as "Hostname" and then the user can specify the hostname/machine name.  However, I was hoping that this would get appended to the machine prefix for the business group but it does not.  Instead of user putting in "webserver1" I'd rather it get [prefix]+webserver1 as the VM name.  Any recommendations?

Thanks!

I am unaware of a method to make the description field "required". Doesn't mean that there isn't a way. Perhaps another member of the community can shed some light on this.

As far as your naming issue, with slight modifications the blog post below should help you accomplish your goal effectively.
