Unable to edit the VM machine settings

I have created a VM machine through Vsphere client. Now if I click on edit settings to increase the HDD space and RAM it throws an error that restricted VMware settings as shown below.

Could you help me why this error throws?

The messages box that pops up tells you that to modify the properties new in virtual machine version 9 or higher, you should use the vSphere Web Client. You can still modify the virtual machine version 8 and lower properties using the vSphere Client. Since vSphere 5.1 there are no new features added to the vSphere Client. With vSphere 6.5 the vSphere Client is gone and only the vSphere Web Client is left.

to fully edit that machine you will need to utilize the VMware Web Client
