Managing Windows 10 with VMware User Environment Manager

I've gathered a lot of best practices, solutions ans workarounds for Managing Windows 10 with VMware User Environment Manager.

This blog is the result of it, hope it helps some of you.

This describes a very easy, but very effective  way of managing the Start Menu as well:

Using these settings:

[IncludeRegistryTrees]

HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts

HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Associations

I don't seem to be able to get any file type associations to persist through sessions.  I understand there are particular issues with html, pdf because of edge, but I can't even get things like .txt to persist.  Is there something more that must be done?
