problems installing VMware Workstation 11

Hello everyone,

I have a Windows 7 64 bit, is on a domain network and have the administrator account. I had installed the vmware workstation 10, to run other OS on this team and one day I stopped working.

I uninstalled and now I have no way to install it. I installed under the internet and make double click, pretends he is going to start but the OS does nothing. If I change the name of the executable if the wizard starts, but when it reaches a certain point stops with an error and I made out.

The MSI "c:\admini..\appdata\local\Temp\vmware_34345345\vmwareworkstation.msi" failed. Service "vmware authorization Service" (VMAuthdService) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to star system services.

I removed the computer from the domain and attempt with the administrator account and I can think alike.

I uninstalled the antivirus and nothing.

I spent cleaning tools vmware and nothing.

If I try in safe mode with a portabl vmware and I said to my user, which is the administrator does not have local administrator permissions.

Not to do, what I find strange is that if you change the name of the installation begins, but if not, do nothing after making double click.

It is as if the system to see the word vmware react.

Sw the other can be installed without problem.

What I can do?

Hi,

If you right click the executable, select properties, is there an option to "unblock"?

If not that... did Windows perhaps change the compatibility mode on the executable? (Hint: It should not run the installer in a compatibility mode)

Hello,

I tried to do what indicates that article and have not solved anything .

I still dating the same error: "The MSI" c: \ admini .. \ AppData \ Local \ Temp \ vmware_34345345 \ vmwareworkstation.msi "failed Service. " VMware Authorization Service " ( VMAuthdService ) failed to start Verify That You Have sufficient . star system privileges to services . "

I could not solve the problem.

What I find strange is ,that if the word vmware appears in executable name , not even running . If I change the name , the installation wizard starts but then get the error indicated .

I attached the log installation if you help.

Hi,

I actually tried to explain that you should install with NO compatibility mode as VMware Workstation will not work in compatibility mode.

But it sounds like it is something else that is giving you trouble.

If you have antivirus/antimalware software installed, uninstall that, reboot, then try to install VMware Workstation again.

Of course you can/should install your antivirus/antimalware software again after installing VMware Workstation.

That sounds like you are running one of those aggressive gaming software protections.
Some games install antipiracy tools that just do not work well or at all with Workstation.

Please list all games you have installed.

You need to disable VM in your computer.

1. Go to Programs and Features, "Turn Windows Features On/Off" and remove VM Role. Restart and test. If not, process with step 2.

2. Restart computer -> go to BIOS -> disable virtualization -> install Vmvare -> Restart the computer -> go to BIOS again -> Enable Virtualization

Hope this helps.

Thanks. Finally I solved the problem "vmware authorization service could not be installed" by disabling Intel VT-x (virtualization technology), updating and enabling again.
