I noticed that datastores larger than 4 TB tend to use a unexpectedly high fragmentation rate for VMDKs.
I often see thousands of fragments while there would be enough free space to allocate the vmdks in one piece.
A high fragmentation is bad for performance but for recovery purposes it is even worse.
Is this a bug in esxi 5.5 and later ?
