IBM Lotus Notes v9 in AppStack

Hello

Does anyone have any experience of deploying IBM (Lotus) Notes v9 within an AppVolumes AppStack?

If this has also been managed by VMware UEM, any advice would be greatly appreciated

Regards

Sean

Hi,

+1

I have to deploy Lotus Notes with App Volumes in a few days and I wonder how to manage user files? In multi user environment like XenApp you have to map a network drive and store user's files on it. What about Horizon + App Volumes, should we use writable volumes or network drive?

For the record. I don't have any expierence with Lotus Notes but haven't seen an applications that i cant get to work, only due to licensing issues did some fail.

What are you guys trying to do? What does or doesn't work? Why would you like to use a writable volume? Or maybe UEM?

VDI and Appvolumes with writable volumes gives you a personalized option for a centralized desktop delivery. You can use floating pools and still be able to give a user the feeling of having his or her own machine while not providiong everyone with said machine.

I'd say try and test it and let us know what does or does not work and what you would like to achieve and we might be able to help Smiley Happy.
