Synology Rackstation as iSCSI using ESXI 6.5

Can anyone provide a tutorial or something of sorts on how to connect ESXI 6.5 to my synology as a iSCSI datastore?

I've already followed instructions for configuring the Rackstation with LUN and such, but i don't know what to do on the ESXI 6.5 to connect it Smiley Sad

Just to add my two cents!!! This is pretty much a generic way of connecting to any NAS from esxi, use the VMware vSphere Client to connect no matter what version of ESXi you might have.

Take these steps. LINK:

Sorry for the late reply!

Thanks for the link. I had already stumbled upon the link, however, due to the fact that some things don't seem to be in the same place, then i got a bit confused at step 2 "Mount iSCSI Targets on VMware ESXi".

But i'll try again and comment back if i still have trouble, stating the exact part of step 2 i'm having the problem.

I see! All you need to do is to ADD the iSCSI software adapter & then after you see it on devices just continue with the steps.

1. Right click on the white field or on the upper right corner

2. Select "add software iSCSI adapter"

Can you help me as well? My VMware server lost connection to my Synology LUN after upgrade to version 6.5 and I can't connect to the volume again. I can see the Synology in devices but not in datastores.
