Hi Guys . Any ideas why I cannot backup VMs after enabling SRM protection on them ?
Two sites KC and RX , active-active DR/SRM
KC works 100% SRM and Netbackup
RX protected VMs cannot be backed up .
Same versions deployed in both KC and RX and VMware support have been unable to find the solution .
I did check the interop , and the only thin I can see is SRM 6.1.1 requires VC6.02 , and the guys built VC 6.0.0 ?
RX versions

KC versions

When RX VMs are protected , and my backup guys try and back it up , I see no event for Take Snapshot on source VM
I do see the placeholder VM in recovery site saying Reconfigure Virtual machine under the netbackup SVC account
Backup fails there
I can take and remove manual snapshots on source VM while protected in SRM , and see no task on recovery site placeholder during this test .
ALL I know is , that Netbackup can be set to not to backup VMs without Disks guys are hesitant to implement this .
Any ideas ? I am stumped , as if it was an interoperability problem , why does KC work 100% ?
