Hi,
I have MacBook Pro 15" late 2016 model with 16GB RAM and running macOS Sierra 10.12.2. I have the latest release of VMware Fusion 8.5.3 (4696910) installed and I have installed Windows 10 Pro as guest on it. I have been looking for a way to enable "Fast Startup" mode that requires Hibernation to be enabled but I cannot find a way to enable it. If I execute command "powercfg -h on" in Windows 10 command prompt I get below error message:
Hibernation failed with the following error: The request is not supported.
The following items are preventing hibernation on this system.
The system firmware does not support hibernation.
I tried to check online but nowhere I could information if Fusion Pro even supports hibernation and if it does then how to enable it. The reason I have been trying this is to at least make Windows 10 load and shutdown faster since without this it's very slow. The overall Windows 10 experience seems to be slow.
I also have problems with Copy & Paste text between my host and guest operating system. This would work initially for some time but would break in a while and I have to restart VM guest to make it work again and this is really annoying.
I even tried re-installing VMware (10.0.10) tools but no luck.
