add vcpu

esxi has 2x12 cpu and Logical Processor 48 .

i want to add vcpu ;

number of virtual sockets : 24

number of core socekets : 1

but on windows doesnt support just see cpu is 12 cpu

but

number of virtual sockets : 6

number of core socekets : 4

it is working . why ?

The number of CPUs (sockets) is usually restricted to a certain number in different operating systems. If the number of CPUs (sockets) exceeds this limit, the CPUs will either be ignored, or the OS may have issues.
