VMWare player 12.5 doesn't send "CTRL+ALT+DEL"

I have converted the phisical Windows 7 Pro on my laptop with "VMWare vCenter Converter Standalon client" to a new Windows 7 virtual machine instance.

After launching the virtual machine, the VMWare player 12.5 doesn't send "CTRL+ALT+DEL" to start the login acquisition, so I'm not able to use the virtualized machine.

I've tried to stop the Windows startup with F8 and it works, so I suppose the keyboard is correctly installed and recognized.

I've tried with difference sequences: CTRL+ALT+">", CTRL+ALT+"INS", CTRL+ALT+"END", with no changes.

Anyone can help me to find a solution?

Thanks

Hi,

Use the on screen keyboard to login and then uninstall any synaptics software that you can find in the add/remove programs section.

Hi Wil

thank you for the suggestion.

While the keyboard (phisical and on screen) seems to properly work, nothing happens when I press CTRL+ALT+DEL, also with the button on the top of the player.

The screen remains blocked and it cannot be possible to login.

Hi,

Very strange.

So you can't even get to the logon screen using the on screen keyboard?

The only relevant post I've found so far is this:

CTRL-ALT-DEL no longer works
