It appears that we are being mandated to apply signed SSL certs for our VMware environment. Our vcenter is at the latest 5.5 build same with ESXi hosts.
My question is this. Can we simply replace the self signed SSL cert for the webclient only? That is, the cert that is used by the browser when logging into webclient.
I've been review the VMware KB's and blog posts and I'm struggling to get a concrete answer.
What would be the bare minimum of components that would require a signed cert to allow end users to access webclient and be presented with a signed cert?
