I would like to get some help, if possible,
I have:
- a licensed VMware® Workstation 12 Pro12.1.1 build-3770994 (64-bit)
- Intel® Haswell Mobile Graphics
- UBUNTU 16.04 (64 bit, 4.4.0-31-generic) with a Windows 10Pro guest (64-bit)
- The Ubuntu 16.04 host has 16GB memory and a Intel® Core™ i5-4200U
- the Guest (Windows 10 - 64 bit) has 8GB and 4 cores, nothing special, newest VMTools.
But from time to time, the vmware-proces on the Ubuntu host rises up to 60-100%, even when the guest Windows is not doing much. Of course both host and guest almost freeze in that situation.
After 10s-30s i can continue working for some time and then, after 1-2 minutes, the same happens again and again.
It happens also when I stop all major applications on the host, beside VMware Workstation.
Does anyone have any clue what could be the problem?
