Hi All,
I've been struggling with another issue in my home lab. I upgraded to vCenter 6.5 last week and, at the same time, deployed a new vDP 6.1.3 appliance. Try as I might, I can't seem to get the plug-in to appear anywhere within vCenter.
I have gone into the extensions section of http://<vcenter>/mob and only see config.vmware.vdp2.config. I can't seem to get config.vmware.vdp2 to show up, even if I delete the .config entry and restart/re-register the vDP appliance.
I have also done the workaround where you log into the vCenter server and add the .war and .jar file manually into the vsphere-client directory, with no luck.
Anyone else seeing this issue?
Thanks,
Dave
WIth vCenter 6.0 there was problem when using url https://vcenter/vpshere-client to connect. Url https://vcenter:9443/vcenter-client (with port) works ok. Maybe same problem in 6.5?
Nope. Doesn't seem to work.
My old vCenter 6.0 has the extensions visible in the MOB page, but doesn't display the actual plugin. My new vCenter 6.5 shows com.vmware.vdp2.config but doesn't show com.vmware.vdp2 at all.
Same for me. Same situation, and have followed guides online and hasn't been fixed.
Has anyone been able to get tot he bottom of this? Just can't get the plug in registered at all.
Yes, me too here.
Does anyone know if the latest version of VDP appliance can support VCenter v6.5 and ESXi 6.5 VM hardware v11 ?
I have upgraded 6.0 U3 to vSphere Client version 6.5.0.13000, was able to see and connect VDP 6.1.4.30 (works fine) through vSphere Web Client (Flash), but from vSphere Client (HTML5) - partial functionality interface I am not able to find and connect VDP.
looks it just available through the vSphere Web Client (Flash), HTML5 doesn't support VDP (not added ).
