I just tried calling VMWares horrible sales team, the guy I spoke too had no clue.
Just wondering if anyone could tell me what the advanced networking feature the pro version offers is. I'm hoping its vswitches.
You get the GUI version of the Advanced NAT settings. Otherwise you have to hack the VMware Fusion configs in the Mac OS cli.
Hi there,
VMware Sales teams are focused on selling enterprise suite software like Horizon and vSphere to other large enterprises, so it's natural that they wouldn't know some advanced things about our Personal Desktop (consumer-focused) products which are sold directly to end users via the online store.
Essentially the feature allows you to create and modify default and custom network interfaces for your VMs. It's not vSwitches, it's a very basic NAT and DHCP setup by comparison.
