Windows server 2016 on ESXi 5.5

Hi Experts,

We have an exisiting VMware cluster with windows server 2008 on ESXi 5.5.  We are planning to use Windows Server 2016 with DC edition.

Is it advisable to use exisiting hardware/cluster or new hardware/cluster to benifit from licensing.

Thaks

There is no need any change on your vSphere environment.

ESXi 5.5 is compatible with Windows Server 2016 and also about hardware, if you have any upgrade plan, you can do it.

Just you need to select Windows Server 2012 as guest OS for your machine in vSphere 5.5.
