Windows 10 guest, how can WSL see shared folders from the Mac host?

I am running Windows 10 as a guest on VMware Fusion 8.5.2. I am using the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) and its bash window. I have shared some folders from the Mac host, and Windows explorer sees them as "\\vmware-host\Shared Folders".

How can I get bash (on the Windows guest) to see the shared folders from the Mac?

(It used to be that the shared folders got mounted in Windows as the Z: drive; that does not seem to be the case now.)

Hi,

(It used to be that the shared folders got mounted in Windows as the Z: drive; that does not seem to be the case now.)

I think that is normally a VMware Workstation feature?

Anyways, it doesn't matter as it is a Windows feature that is being used so nothing stopping you from doing so yourself.

Open Windows Explorer, Select "This PC" on the left, then "Computer" at the top, you'll get an option "Map Network Drive" ... and follow the steps.

FWIW the Windows 10 guest I just gleaned the steps from has a shared folder shared as a drive letter so I know it works. Smiley Wink
