VC running on Windows host, no login local account

Hello,

I have installed vCenter 6 on a Windows Server 2012 host, and need to be able to login to the VC with a local Windows account, however I am receiving

incorrect username or password when I attempt. I have done the following.

Created a local Windows account and successfully tested logging into the Windows host.

Created a role and assigned the local user to it, and applied it to the desired VC folder

I checked to see that "Local OS" is listed as an identity source in SSO

I added the local user to the localhost domain in SSO Users and Groups

How to authenticate with local Windows host?

Regards

-John

Hi,

How are you trying to connect? Using only userid? userid@domain or domain\userid?

domain = servername

This happen only with vSphere Client, or with both vSphere and also with Web Client?

This could be the issue.
