host preparation Not ready

I am trying to prepare my host under host preparation tab but keeps saying not ready.

tried resolve and does not work

any idea?

You can look in the log file on the esxi host. (esxupdate.log)

Sometimes the host does need to reboot, but you should see the 'reboot required' in you vsphere client.

i only got one host in the cluster. is that a problem?

Are there any errors associated with it not working?

Hi, this issue could be caused by the Update manager that should install VIB files to each ESXi host.

Try with this resolution:

There could be number of issues with Hosts showing "Not Ready". You can click on the "Not Ready" message and get the error information. Check this KB to troubleshoot:
