After installing Windows from an .iso, installing VMware Tools launches Windows Setup

At the end of the setup of Windows, using the "Windows.iso" I click on installing VMtools.

Workstation will then launch setup.exe from Windows 10.

Tried a few times, but workstation constantly is coming back with the Window setup.exe.

How to solve this?

Regretfully VMware does not recognize a Virtual CD-DVD

I might mount the .iso but VMware only 'sees' the actual hardware DVD.

Hi,

Seems the logic got a bit confused.

Shut down the VM.

Disconnect the Windows iso file from the virtual dvd/cdrom.

Then start your VM again.

If you try install VMware Tools then it should present the correct setup.
