Can I make the upgrade pending from VMware 6 to 8 after purchasing a license?

I'm now considering to purchase an upgrade license of VMware version 8 from 6.

However, I cannot upgrade to 8 for some reason, and I have to use version 6 for a while.

Please tell me whether I can make the upgrade pending from 6 to 8  after purchasing the version 8 license, and use the 6 for a while.

When you purchase an upgrade license we require the original license you upgraded from.

Once the purchase is complete with Fusion 8 your license key for Fusion 6 is upgraded and goes away from the licensing area of MyVMware.

I would recommend purchasing your upgrade to 8 when you're actually ready to deploy it.
