Could I take "VCP550: VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization" if I take VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage [V5.1] course?
I take the course two years ago, but I had some problems and I couldn't take the exam.

Yes that is enough for you to sit for the exam.

AFAIK, There is no retirement date announced yet for this exam. You can confirm this by writing to certification@vmware.com to get an official confirmation.
