I know for a fact this IS possible, because I have a second Windows XP virtual machine that I made that does it just fine, but that one is from before I had to reinstall 7, and thus it no longer is seen as genuine. The new one that I converted keeps resizing. Very annoying when trying to play older games that insist on a minuscule resolution!
