Onyx Crashing

Hi,

Does anyone have a working Onyx (Not the Web Edition since it does not produce vRO output)

Mine always crashes, the only requirement I can find is Net 3.5.1, and that is installed, but stille it always crashes when doing almost every tasks in vCenter 6.0.

Best Regards

Brian

Hi,

Which Onyx version/build do you use?

I have Onyx 2.2.5161.29309 and it seems to be able to connect fine to a vCenter 6 machine (6.0u1).

The one published on the web site 2.2.5161.29309. Same one.

Are you using Appliance vCenter?

What Windows version are you running Onyx on?

Can you edit harddisks in a VM without onyx crashing?

Yes, it is a vCenter appliance.

Onyx runs on Windows 7 Enterprise Service Pack 1.

Actually, I don't have hosts attached to this vCenter so I haven't tested VM operations. I'll try to attach a virtual ESX with some fake VMs to test this.

Tried to add a hard disk to a virtual machine (was successful) and after that increase the disk size. Onyx crashed Smiley Sad

Does anyone have a clue to why it does not work, or how else to get the same functionality.
