how to converter windows server 2000 to vmware?

I have a server with windows server 2000 OS.I want to converter  this server become a VM in the vmware platform.How can I do this?

use VMware Converter 4.0, it supports Windows 2000 server:

Hi

you must check the version too, becuase converter supports only Windows 2000 with SP4.

BTW ,I want get the esx 4,esx 4 vcenter server and the client .

But I can't get these software from VMWare.

I got  a VMware Converter 3.2.

Can I converter windows server 2000 to esx4.0?

Checking  VMware Converter 3.0.2 Release Notes it seems supported, but I don't see which SP... I think you should only try 🙂

Don't fear to upgrade converter to release 6... it supports vCenter 4.x

Thanks a lot.

I try the software.

It can conver the windows server 2000 SP4 to ESX 4.

I move the VM from ESX 4 to ESX 5.5 by vCenter.

BTW,

I found the ESX 4 can not install at the new server or VM which in the ESXi 5.5.

I install it on a VM which created on the workstation .
