VMWare Player 6

I don't know if this is the right forum so I apologise if it's not.

I am using VMWare Player 6 (the free version) and am struggling to get the virtual machine to use my wireless connection on the host. The host is connecting to the internet using a wireless adapter via a 3G connection. I have tried the different network settings for the VM but have had no luck.

I have Googled the problem and tried various suggested solutions but none of them have worked.

The host is running Windows 10 and the VM is running Windows Server 2008R2.

Thanks

Hi,

Can you use any network with VMware Player 6 and Windows 10 as host?

I'm asking because I've seen numerous complaints from people trying to use Workstation 10/11 and Windows 10 as host OS.

Really do not expect it to work with VMware Player 6, but I might be wrong.

The most likely solution to your problem is to update to VMware Player 12, which is just as free as Player 6 (eg. both are free for non commercial use)
