VMware Player - how to disable mouse integration

Dear Community,

I am struggling to find the option of disabling mouse input - so I can not just freely switch between host computer and VM as some games on the VM are not liking it apparently. I want to try if it resolves the issue

the preference option (there isn't such a thing on my VMware home screen - there is "manage settings") does not have an "input " option to toggle

i am not sure what version of VMware i have - but its called VMware Player.  In a license file I found this as a header "VMware Workstation 10.0.2 and VMware Player 6.0.2 GA"

Fusion:

for vmware fusion the solution is the same but the preference file is at

USER PREFERENCES /Users/i049299/Library/Preferences/VMware Fusion/preferences
