vRops indicating that an application version is obsolete

Hello every one,

I want to check please if it is possible to know that an application (installed on a VM) has an obsolete version (in the same way we can easily know that VM tools is old in a VM)? Is there any metric in the end point solution for that?

Any idea ?

VMtools metrics is controller by vmware , so easy to find out. In application case, no direct solution is available as per my knowlege
