ESXi 6 U2 (3620759) - LSI MegaRAID - sas2ircu/megacli

Hello,

Has anyone here had any luck getting CLI drive identification working with ESXi 6.0 U2 Build 3620759 for LSI MegaRaid Controllers - 9280-24i4e or 9361-8i?

I've installed MegaCLI/sas2ircu but not having much luck getting any information back about the controllers?

[root@host:~] esxcli software vib list | grep -i "LSI"

However when I run ./sas2ircu LIST I get the following -

[root@host:~] ./opt/lsi/bin/sas2ircu LIST

LSI Corporation SAS2 IR Configuration Utility.

SAS2IRCU: MPTLib2 Error 1

[root@host:~]

with MegaCli I dont get much more.  Both -h return results but neither seem to be able to query the controllers.

I do have MSM Storage Manager running on a VM on the host with the SLP helper which allows me to access the controllers/drives etc.

On a maybe unrelated side note, the 9361-8i shows correctly under Health Status, however the 9280-24i4e shows the controllers and gradually adds a few of the drives (15mins, post boot to add the first one and even after 24hrs its only seeing 48 of the 60 drives) - I've already got a call open with LSI on this one.

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks
