internal error 25089

hai,

installed vmware ESX 3.5 on sunfire X4150 server.

i am getting an error as "internal error 25089" while installing VMware converter on another server running WIN2003 SP2.

i need make this windows severe as VCB proxy.

i am using net backup as third party backup software.

please help as this installation is urgent.

If you are still having an issue with installing VMware Converter, then please provide the following;

1. A screen shot of the full error that is being thrown?

2. The exact version/build of Converter you are trying to install

3. Are you installing as the local administrator account?

4. Is there any other VMware software installed on this machine?

Had a similar issue on a IBM x335 running Windows 2000 server SP4 with rollup SP4 installed.

I installed VMware vCenter Converter Standalone (v 4.0.1) locally on the server which required a reboot.  I started the conversion task using the local admin creds of the server and pointed to an ESX 4.1 host, originally I made the mistake of pointing it towards a vCenter server, oops.

Installing the converter on the local server seemed to work for me.  Hopefully it will work for you.  Good luck.
