Software printers not creating in View 6.2

We are using View 6.2.1 (without AppStacks) and are having an issue with some software printers (PDF printers, and printers created by LOB applications).  When users log in to non-persistent desktops, sometimes the printers are missing, sometimes some of them are missing, and sometimes they are all there.  It's not consistent on a per user, per VM, or per user per VM basis.  For example, yesterday when I logged in, I had neither my PDF printer, or my ImageRight printer (Imageright is a document management system... details aren't likely relevant). Today I logged in and have the ImageRight printer, but not the PDF printer.  Sometimes, I have the PDF printer, but not the ImageRight printer.

Has anyone encountered anything like this?  The ImageRight one happens to not be a huge deal because we can provide the users instructions to quickly reinstall it, but the PDF printer and other LOB applications require much larger re-installations, and it's not feasible to do that daily for everyone.  If it matters, we're using PDFXchange for the PDF printer, but since it happens with all of the application printers, i doubt that's part of the problem.

I haven't tried persistent desktops. All of these printers work fine in our old Terminal Server environment (XenApp); this issue is only affecting the VDI environment.

Any guidance would be immensely appreciated.

Thanks

Dylan

Thanks for responding and sorry for taking so long to get back to you.  I was having trouble actually getting this tested because I can't recompose my pools at the moment (have to restart the hosts because of a vSAN bug). I've managed to do some testing though, namely removing the software that creates the printers from the client machine so that there's no name conflict with printers on the virtual desktop and that doesn't seem to have helped.  I'm working on testing just disabling thinprint altogether but unfortunately i don't have a test pool to screw around with at the moment.  Rebooting the hosts this weekend though so I should have more info on Monday.

In the meantime, any other thoughts?

Sorry, forgot to reply to this.  This worked:

1. In agent desktop, change the value of registry key TPACScheme in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\ThinPrint Print Port Monitor For VMware\Ports\TPVM: from %N to %N#:%I (lager i).

Did this on the base VM, snapshotted and recomposed the pool.
