Unable to add host to vcenter inventory

I have hosts that I am unable to add to my vCenter inventory. Looks like a potential certificate issue.

In the environment I have 5 vCenter appliances. I have populated hosts and VMs in 4 of the 5 vCenters without issue. When I attempt to add any hosts into the inventory of the last vCenter, either through the web client or the thick client, I get the following error:

A general system error occurred: Unable to get

signed certificate for host: <HOSTNAME>. Error:

Failed to connect to the remote host, reason = rpc

_s_too_many_rem_connects (0x16c9a046).

(382312518).

The default self signing authority has been replaced with certificate from the organizations internal CA as a subordinate signing authority.

I have looked high and low for anything on this error and found nothing. Trying the forums today and will open a support request soon if I get no where with it. Any help is appreciated.

You need to wait for 24 Hours before you add new ESXi Host to vCenter after making vmca as Subordinate CA.

There is a solution for this, check this KB.

VMware KB: Adding a VMware vSphere ESXi host to VMware vCenter Server 6.0 fails with the error: Sign...
