Mac Address not deploy on the switch

Hi guys, I would like to ask you a hand to a problem that I'm taking and I can not get out.

I installed Esx5.5 U2 on a HP DL360G6 servers to virtualize NSX and support VCIX exam.

I installed inside ESX5.5 all systems to run VCenter and faithful NSX but I am in a MAC problem will not be published on the switch.

Let me explain, I created some VLANs and port where the server is attacked I make him pass a trunk with VLAN from me interested

Now if I configure a portgroupe and insert the VLAN switch feels only changes physically attacked the door and does not feel the changes of the virtual host esx5.5 that I created inside my ESX. A little twisted I know but it was the only way to create a virtual environment.

At this point I wonder as well as configure the parameters in .VMX files for Intel VT-X there would be some other parameter to be configured to activate the VNIC?

Another example is that if I configure vmotio on a vlan 120 the two hosts will not pingano, while the physical hos able to ping the gateway and the virtual host is not the pinga gatway but fails to ping itself.

Who can give me some idea of the promissory note a dinner 🙂

hi there,

if you speak Spanish, and if possible, please be so kind to explain your problem in Spanish, otherwise I strongly recommend to use VMware HOL labs as lab not following the script provided for tasks in order to cover exam blue print for the exam, it simply works as a charm. If you need a guide for BP let me know and I can provide the one I use for that.

regards.

Hello Raimondo.

Thank you so much for your kind reply, but I wanted to tell you that I have partially solved the problem by following this workround:

echo 'vhv.allow = "TRUE"' >> / etc / vmware / config  on the Host.

1.Click on the host

2.Go to "Configuration"

3.Click on "Networking"

4.Click "Properties" on the vSwitch

5.Select the correct portgroup

6.Click "Edit"

7.Click "Security"

8.Set "Promiscuous Mode" to "Accept"

9.Click "Ok"

10.Click "Close"

Now for each virtual ESXi host (note there is a "guest os" called ESXi 5 in there, use it!) That you have created do the Following:

1.Right click on the VM

2.Click "Edit settings"

3.Click the "Options" tab

4.Click on "CPU / MMU virtualization"

5.Select the 4th option "Use Intel VT-x / AMD-v ..."

But I would be happy to receive your guide BP ver. 1.9 ? it correct.

Raymundo Hello, I wanted to ask you a question on the examination. In a few days I will book the VCIX exam before it expires which seems to be at the end of June. I wanted to ask how many hours the examination, the questions that are asked for the lab are structured?

You can bring in your notes? all the themes of the Blue Print are treated?

Thanks so much
