vCenter Server - Application Dashboard not showing any information

Good morning,

I've recently deployed Log Insight 3.3 and everything works great with the exception of the vCenter Server - Application dashboard.

I've loaded the LI Agent on the vCenter server and i've setup the vSphere 5.x - vCenter (Windows) agent group as a new group and assigned my vCenter server in the filter. All file logs are enabled and i can see on the vCenter server the liconfig was merged properly.. I can see the vpxd events and things of that nature through the General dashboard but it doesnt seem to be linking up to the vCenter Server - Application dashboard.. Any thoughts?

I'm using the latest Log Insight OVA and the latest LI Agent on the vCenter host (which is windows).

Thank you,

Adam

Are any dashboard working? If so, which are not? Have a look on VC under /var/log/loginsight-agent/*.log and search for 'error'

Every other dashboard works great with the exception of the vCenter Server - Application dashboard which is bizarre. I checked the agent host logs and they're all clean.. I can see the vcenter log information through the general content pack for that particular vCenter but they just wont show up in the vCenter Server - Application dashboard.

So it sounds like all widgets on that dashboard are not working. Check the agent log for errors.

I checked all of the logs on the vCenter server for Log Insight and all of the logs on the Insight Server as well and there are no errors whatsoever.

OK, I do not have enough information to assist. Two options on how to proceed:

  1. Open a support case and upload an agent support bundle (not server), plus a screen shot of what is exactly not working
  2. Attach to this thread a picture of what is not working, the liagent-effective.ini and the latest liagent log file (note if this is not enough information to assist then we will need to go back to #1)

Hello,

I have the same problem here. Is there a solution?

Well the same troubleshooting information as above would apply. Are you using the agent? Did you configure the agent groups? Are you receiving agent logs? What do the logs show? In worst case open a support case and include an agent support bundle.
