Horizon Access Point Appliance - glibc patch

All,

I'm trying to get the glibc patch installed (listed here: https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=21440...) on the access point appliance 2.0.1. However, I'm finding that rather difficult since SSH is not working. The sshd is present on the appliance, but even after starting the service, trying to SSH to the appliance doesn't work. I tried setting PermitRootLogin set to Yes on the /etc/ssh/sshd_config file, but the SSH connection keeps error'ing out with message "software caused connection abort".

I found that iptables is not set to block anything on the appliance. Nothing is blocking SSH port from my internal network to where the appliance is sitting. How am I supposed to get the glibc patch installed if I can't get the rpm file uploaded to the appliance?

Thanks,

Ended up using a web server internally (WSUS server) to host the rpm file, and then used wget to grab the file to the appliance. It's installed now.

ssh access is not supported  in Access Point

on the other hand using external Wsus and update with wget is a cool solution

Really, any http-based web server is fine as long as access point appliance can reach it via wget.
