The only way I can get bridged networking to work with guests is to disable DHCP on the guest and set a static IP. It doesn't work with DHCP enabled on the guest.
This worked with VMware Workstaiton 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11.
Hi, Asharam:
What's your host system? and if you enable DHCP in the client, can your guest get the ip address from DHCP server ?
The host system is Windows 10.
DHCP works perfectly fine on the host.
DHCP doesn't work on the guest when the networking configuration is set to Bridged. I have to change the guest configuration to static IP.
BUT........
Everything works perfectly fine with VMware Workstation 12 Player.
See my other thread regarding problems with mouse forward and back buttons.
Re: VMware Workstation 12 Pro Mouse Forward Back Buttons Don't Work
VMware Workstation 12 Pro is a DEFECTIVE product.
