With the imminent release of the VCIX6 certifications (see the latest news here), it’s time to update our VCDX-DCV blueprint to version 6!
The key part, and arguably the most important part, of the blueprint is the objective section, which defines the core competencies, knowledge, and skills that are required by a candidate earning VCDX. It is these objectives that we are seeking help on updating, to make sure they represent the most current VMware solutions and technologies related to Data Center Virtualization. (We will be updating the Cloud, Desktop, and Networking blueprints soon as well.)
We will have a contracted psychometrician who will facilitate the group in reviewing, updating, and finalizing the required objectives for the new blueprint.
Afterwards, in a separate work stream, the VCDX-DCV panelists will review and update the rubric for v6.
I anticipate the time requirement of a few 1-2 hour conference call sessions, covering a couple weeks, to complete the update. I am hoping we will start in January, depending on enough people’s availability.
