Got this pop-up telling me about an update.
Clicked on [Download and install]
It started downloading and installing but could not finish the job.
Downloading and installing the the trial (VMware-workstation-full-12.1.0-3272444.exe, 307MB)
will solve the issue and, of course, update the Tools .

I got this pop-up telling me there is a new release, there is a 'learn more' and a link to the releases.
From the site, the link "Workstation Pro 12.1 Release Notes" does't work. I need to copy it to clipboard
and paste it in a new browser session, the it it works.
