IaaS Error prevents blueprints displaying in Infrastructure tab

I have a workflow that creates blueprints from VMs, by copying and modifying the original blueprint.  It was working and I could deploy VMs from the blueprints.

Then I made a tweak that I think inserted an invalid link, now vCAC won’t bring up the blueprint list.  This is occurring only on this tenant.

Symptoms:

When I try to access blueprints from the Infrastructure tab: Infrastructure->Blueprints->Blueprints

Instead of the list of blueprints, it shows a box headed “Application Error” and the message:

Error has occurred. For more information, see event logs on the IaaS server or contact your system administrator.

Looking In the log viewer:

Source: GUI Administration

Instance Name: WebAdmin

Machine: IAAS

Message:

Exception of type 'System.Web.HttpUnhandledException' was thrown. Inner Exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I am using vCAC 6.1and the vCAC Plugin that came out with vCAC 6.1.

I faced the same problem today but with Fabric group page. Went away when i logged out and in again.

Can you check the CAFE host and make sure the iaas.blueprint service registration hasn't failed?

I had this same issue after creating Blueprints programmatically in vRA 6.2 using this method: http://automate-it.today/automating-vra-iaas-blueprint-creation-with-vro/

What happened was if a user with Read-Only permissions to Blueprints clicked View on a Blueprint and then clicked OK, we would then get the following error when viewing Blueprints:

Error has occurred. For more information, see event logs on the IaaS server or contact your system administrator.

Once you get that error, there seems to be no way back. The workaround is to first of all login with a user with Edit permissions to the Blueprints, select each Blueprint in turn and click OK.
