I've previously run this game successfully via bootcamp on windows 7.
I've since removed the bootcamp partition, so installed Windows 10 via Fusion 8. The game installs and patches fine. When I go to play it, I get a blank screen, with a mouse cursor, and background music. I've seen many threads about this problem (mostly dating back to 2012, with a few in 2014) describing this exact same problem. Some of these people were running SWTOR on a VM w/ a Mac host....some people were running this on a native PC. The problem solution in all of these cases appears to be "update your drivers". Now since I'm running this on a VM, I assume I need vmware supplied drivers (via the vmware tools installation). And so...I'm stuck. I came across this thread Paying 1000$ for anyone that can get SWTOR working on VMWare Workstation, and saw that vmware was aware of the issue for Windows 8, and supplied updated drivers.
Can anyone help?
