problem accessing \\vmware-host after Windows upgrade

My Windows 10 virtual machine just did the recent (big) Windows update. Since then I'm no longer able to access \\vmware-host\Shared Folders. What's odd is that there is a shortcut to that on the desktop and if I click on it I can view the files. However, my drive mapping to that folder does not work. If I try to create another mapped drive I get "Windows cannoct access \\vmware-host\Shared Folders". If I go to Windows Explorer and go to Network it doesn't show up there. Also, if I run Quicken and go to "File > Open" I can't browse that folder. So something with the Windows Update messed things up apparently. I re-installed VMWare tools. I verified Shared Folders are enabled in VMWare.

Any ideas?
