Patching VIO mangement VMs

Hi All,


I have a question regarding patching.  Are all patches applied via the central management server or is this mechanism purely for updating OpenStack specific components? 


How about operating system etc patching on the 15 management VMs? Are these supposed to be patched via the management server too?  or should we patch these VMs individually inside the VMs using apt etc?

everything in the VIO control plane including the mgmt server and guest operating systems will be patched by VIO central mechanism. You shouldn't have to patch 15 VMS manually in case there is a need for guest os patch.

Did you come across some security or other patch required for the Guest OS?

No i haven't  come across anything in particular, it was more of a general question really.

So is the a release cycle / schedule for updates or is it more a case of patches being released as and when required?  is there a page we need to check to see if/when patches are available?

I would like to test the process but  as i said in my original post, i cant find where to download patches from?  The link given in the documentation dosn't seem to offer many clues.....
