VMware Workstation 12 Pro -- "autocommit" for snapshots gone (option "Snapshot -- Take a new snapshot")

Hello,

VMware Workstation Pro 12 does not offer the option "Snapshots -- When powering off -- Take a new snapshot" for VMs any more. If I open a VM created with an earlier version were this setting is active I receive the error message "Value "autoCommit" for variable "snapshot.action" is not a valid value".

Does anybody know the reason why this option for snapshot management has been removed from the product? For my purposes I found it most useful.

Update to 12.0.1 and the option returns.
