NSX and vSphere Update Manager (VUM)

I am a bit puzzled, the NSX Installation and upgrade guide 6.1(http://pubs.vmware.com/NSX-61/topic/com.vmware.ICbase/PDF/nsx_61_install.pdf) page 21 section: Prepare Clusters for Network virtualization

mentions "If you have vSphere Update Manager (VUM) in your environment, you must disable it before preparing clusters for network virtualization." Then is a reference for a KB-2053782 (https://ikb.vmware.com/contactcenter/php/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2053782) which creates some confusion stating that "ensure that VMware vSphere Update Manager is available and running."  -as a resolution when Installing or uninstalling the VXLAN agent fails. :smileyconfused:

I've been hit by this issue several times, so I wrote a blog post on it.
