Backup and restore free version of ESXI6.0 and hosts from command line?

I installed the free version of ESXI6.0 for personal use on an older Lenovo desktop that I added an Intel 1Gig Pro card to. I then set up 4 virtual servers. Each one is running CentOS7. One runs Cacti for snmp management. One runs nfdump/nfsen for Netflow. A third runs Nagios. The fourth runs OpenVPN for remote access in to my lab. I'd like to figure out how to backup VMWare server and each of my virtual servers. I'd also like to figure out how to restore them again. I'd like to be able to backup and restore each virtual server individually in case I mess them up.

I saw tools for the paid version of ESXI6.0. For folks that are running the free version, where would I look for a good backup/restore solution? I have ssh enabled on my ESXI6.0 host. I do not have port 22 open on my external firewall, so only users on my home LAN can get to the server unless someone VPNs in to my OpenVPN server over UDP port 1194 then ssh'es out. I also have port 22 open on each of the virtual servers. I do have a NAS that is kind of space constricted, so will probably pick up another NAS if that is the best choice.

Help! The setup has gotten a little more advanced and needs a backup/restore strategy.

For free ESXi you can use ghettoVCB to backup/restore VMs.

ghettoVCB.sh - Free alternative for backing up VM's for ESX(i) 3.5, 4.x & 5.x
