Upgrade from Fusion V4 to V8 creates a new, much smaller VM?

I've been running Fusion with a Boot Camp HD as the target for the VM.  The upgrade from V4 to V8 created a new VM file (Boot Camp 2.vmwarevm) that is only about half the size of the original VM. Is this drastic change in file size normal?

Probably, assuming the VM still boots as expected.

What's are the file sizes?

Thanks, the original VM was 139.9 MB, and under Fusion8 it's down to 71.3 MB. It appears to start-up OK, but I'm wondering about the large change in size.

The files in the bootcamp vm folder will grow over time with logs and other stuff.

You could of course compare the contents of those folders and see what specific files are larger, or there are more of.

Just right-click the .vmwarevm file > show package contents.

It's just another folder, so all the files inside would be visible and you should be able to see the differences right there.
